After nearly 90 hours of gameplay, I can only say if you want a game for burning time, and you are willing to search No Man's Sky wiki for details. It may not be the best game but one of the best game that feel like I am free to do anything in game, and at the same time nothing chases my time in the game.

No Man's Sky is a fun explore game if you want to relax, each galaxies has it's own identity like it could be a hot/cold galaxy and each planet has it's own beauty and horror behind them (Except for paradise planet type). The game does require you to grind but doesn't force you to as you can buy material from Space Station 1 in each galaxies.

So, to answer the question, yes, No Man’s Sky is still worth playing in 2023. No Man's Sky provides a comprehensive experience of the vast universe that other games just do not offer. The title
When I finally got an S-class, it was 185 damage, and after purchase it ticked up to 189 damage. So the upgrade track for solars seems to be weird, I don't know if that is intentional or if I am missing something but it is what it is. Even with a few well-placed Mould-farms, 85k Nanites to get a 209 core damage solar isn't too bad in my opinion.

I actually just got no mans sky today on the Xbox Game pass for PC after getting my Index yesterday- when you start it it gives you the option of VR or not. I just hit the launch button via my headset and everything works fine. For a $1 first month trial then $5 after that, if I get bored 2 months from now I just paid $6.
Economy Scanner is a crutch for players obsessed with the weak trading game. They are also likely the reason limited thinkers believe Living Ships are bad or useless (they aren't; highest damage, least maintenance ships in the game; great friends, too). The real point of Economy Scanners is ship/multitool hunting.
