Mods do add a lot of fun to thee game though. Installing a few Mods on first playthrough is a sensible move. But choose carefully, there are mods out there that destroys the Dragon Age Lore and the reason why people often recommend playing 1st play throughs in Vanilla. Fireball is OK but Cone of Cold is generally better. What you need is utility, the capability of getting out of dangerous situations. Cone of Cold, Mind Blast, and Force Field are all perfect for that. E.g. when fighting a dragon, you can just cast Force Field on your tank and he'll take 0 damage. Most people go for Fireball, Inferno, Tempest yup! however, you should be online while playing inquisition since the game will update your decisions on dragon age keep, which is vital for future dragon age games. Keep in mind that the only DA game still sold through Steam is DA:O, and not even the Ultimate edition at that (Awakening is still available, though).
