The cheapest engine in the Kuga line-up is a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol unit. It develops 150hp and 240Nm of torque, which Ford says is enough for a 0–62mph time of 9.7 seconds and a top speed of 121mph when paired with its standard six-speed manual gearbox. For undemanding drivers, we’d say that’s plenty.
