The Black & White Jack Russell Terrier is a strong, sturdy medium-sized dog with a slightly elongated body, and according to the AKC classification, it belongs to small terrier breeds. The ears of the Jack Russell Terrier are small, semi-erect, and mobile. Modern Jack Russell Terriers are short-legged dogs with pronounced muscles.
Since these dogs are a smaller breed, they tend to eat sparingly, which is helpful on the budget. They only eat around 1 1/2 cups of food each day, the average for any dog of similar size. Both the Boston Terrier and Jack Russell can gain weight quickly through overeating. Don’t free-feed your Bo-Jack, but accustom it to a dietary schedule.
Physically they’re very similar to Jack Russell Terriers but have longer legs and longer heads. Their coats vary like Jacks too (my purebred Jack has an almost identical eye patch and spots around nose and ears but basically white elsewhere) and generally snout length will vary depending on the dogs lineage too even with purebreds.
